Probably not a good idea, unless your boss is totally awesome, like mine is.
In general, my boss does not care about the aesthetics of his office at all. He doesn't seem to notice design as a thing that exists in the objects around him. Nor does he seem to have any sentimental attachment to things, but then, maybe I am being unfair. Who gets attached to office furniture? Oh right, I do.
I mentioned that I liked these chairs and in true Ken style he immediately offered them to me. He said, "Just find me replacements by September." Uh, okay. I will!
Upholstering chair seats is stupid easy, but finding the right fabric is not so much, at least for me. We have Jo-Ann's in the mall or the Textile Company in Greenfield for fabric choice, both of which are underwhelming. But I manage to be overwhelmed by their underwhelmingness, and I end up doubting my choices and being upset that there is much better cloth out there, somewhere beyond my reach, like in a city or something.
I had a vision (as I am prone to do) of using a blue ikat pattern and had no hope of finding one at Jo-Ann's, but I actually did find two that rang some mental bells that I could live with, and in a fit of imagining the dirt and cat hair piled up on them, I chose the darker one.
These will live in the A-Frame. We have designated a specific area just for puzzle doing and game playing, and we will sit in these as we do both those things.
